I will stamp all over 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

In spite of those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters met for the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly happening.
